Fruits are packed with essential nutrients and minerals we require for the day and we think so do the juices since they are the by products of fruits, right ?
Fruit juices destroy the beneficial compounds of the fruits by removing all the necessary fiber and increase the sugar content. fibre helps in boosting digestion, controlling blood sugar and lowering the cholesterol.
But eating a whole fruit has its own benefits. It helps in digestion, high in fiber and avoids constipation. Nutrients are readily available in whole fruits that fruit juices. Eating a whole fruit keeps us full for a longer time particularly for weight watchers.
Another drawback of drinking fruit juice is that the nutrient content is absorbed quickly due to the absence of fibre content, which will only lead to the spike in blood sugar levels. On the other hand, whole fruits are full of fibres which allows the body to absorb the sugar slowly.
Packed juices are a big no-no and will only reverse the health benefits of both fruits and juices.
